During the Oral Communications, Ron Whittaker, Board Chair of the Chipman School Site Council presented a charter petition and appendixes for the Academy of Alameda.
During the Superintendent Report, the individuals serving on Measure H Resolution Committee were named. They are:

1.) Highlighting Alameda Unified School District: Wood Middle School
Background: The staff presented an overview of the ongoing work to improve academic performance at Wood Middle School.
2.) Interim Staff Reporting
Background: Staff presented a report on the staffing levels and hiring done in the first month of school.
3.) Review of Proposed Board Policy 7160: Charter School Facilities
Background: Staff presented a new policy regarding charter facilities request. Currently AUSD does not have a formal policy. This policy is recommended by CSBA to meet all State legal requirements.
4.) Evaluation Report of Staff, Principals and Teachers and Peer Assisted Review (PAR)
Background: Staff presented a report on the staff evaluation process for staff members.
5.) Fiscal Update on Program Costs -School Site Budgets
Background: This item was moved to November 10th BOE meeting.
